About Me

My name is Leah Hatcher. I’m a senior Electronic Media major at Texas State University in San Marcos. I’m originally from Amarillo, TX where I graduated high school and studied at the local university for a few years. Then, life happened and I took a year and a half off of school and transferred to a completely new school, and here I am now. I’ve lived in San Marcos for a little over a year, and I’m on the home-stretch finally and loving every minute of it. I’m still lost about what I want to do with my life after I graduate, but so far I’m just going with the flow and trying to do as much as I can while I’m paying for it. I hope to do something with radio or film, but I learn something new about myself and my preferences everyday.

I’ve never lived away from home before, but I was surprised at how easy for me it turned out to be. I miss my friends and family, but I have no intentions of moving back any time soon. I enjoy watching movies/binging on Netflix, listening to music, talking, cooking and, of course, eating.

I’ve never considered myself to be an amazing writer. In fact, I haven’t written for the purpose of writing since I was a freshman in high school with a Xanga. However, I was given a blog as an assignment for one of my classes. I came up with a neat idea that I had never heard of before for mixing two of my favorite things, and, well, I think you know the rest if you’ve read any part of my blog at all. So, I went from being assigned a blog, to coming up with a concept that I was seriously enthusiastic about, to writing this blog more for fun than for the class. I still don’t consider myself much of a writer, but I’m here trying a little harder with each post and praying that I’m entertaining my audience, or just praying that I have an audience. So, just so you know, I won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
